Thomas L. Thomas

Baritone Thomas L. Thomas was familiar to American audiences through performances in opera, oratorio, concert and radio broadcasts. He appeared in Pierce Chapel on Friday night, October 22, 1943. At that time he was a soloist with the New York Philharmonic Symphony. When he was twelve, his family moved from Wales to Scranton, PA. As a young man he sang in church choirs, cantatas and glee clubs. Completing high school, Thomas entered Johnson Technical School to study mechanical engineering and draftsmanship. After these courses, he decided that he was better suited to music. Completing studies in New York, he sang for commercial radio programs sponsored by Maxwell House, Show Boat, Palmolive Hour and RCA Victor.
