Faculty Missionary Project

The Faculty Missionary Project worked under the guidance of the Vice President for Alumni Relations and the Alumni Board. The Project was funded by an annual contribution of $10,000 from the Alumni Association, along with contributions from several private donors to augment the fund. Applications were processed through the Alumni Board just like applications for Alumni Faculty Development Grants, but the programs are entirely separate. In 1990 applications for FMP grants were considered by the Alumni Board. The Project generally operated on the basis of needs identified in various countries. The ministry was primarily educational, carried forth by faculty and administrators. Concentration was generally on third world countries, Eastern Europe, and those countries where Christianity is not the major religion.
