Theodore Charles Stone

Theodore Charles Stone, baritone soloist, appeared with the college symphony orchestra on Friday, March 29, 1946, in Pierce Chapel. Stone sang Handel's "Where'er You Walk" from Semele, "Vergebliches Standchen" by Brahms and "Vision Fugitive" by Massenet as his first group of numbers. Later he sang John Ireland's "Sea Fever," "Down by De Rivah" by Robert MacGimsey and several negro spirituals. According to The Record, though his voice lacked vibrant quality, he still sang with a quiet and sincere emotional expression in the face of which criticism has nothing to say.
