Herbert Philbrick

Herbert Philbrick, FBI counterspy, spoke in Pierce Chapel on November 10, 1956, alerting students to the dangers of communism while also relating his adventures during the Cold War. According to THE RECORD, Philbrick began spying in 1940 as a young advertising executive. After spending his day infiltrating communist meetings and indoctrination seminars, he would return home and hide away in his attic, writing reports to the FBI. He wrote I LED THREE LIVES and THE QUEEN FISH.
