John Laurence Frost
John Laurence Frost (?? – 1935) was a graduate of Harvard Military Schooland Stanford University, where an 8000-seat amphitheater is named in his honor. He died of polio while studying abroad. To memorialize their son, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Frost provided several gifts to Wheaton College, including a science library, library reading room and an endowed scholarship. Frost was known to have struggled with his faith while pursuing his studies. He was later influenced by Harry Rimmer. As a result his parents underwrote a series of books in his memory that engaged scientific and evolutionary issues from a Christian perspective (John Laurence Frost Memorial Library of Apologetics). |
