Howard G. VanBuren

Howard G. VanBuren, '41, staff physician at Hines Veterans Hospital, died April 5, 1956, in Gulfport, MS. He and his wife, Eva Lane VanBuren, were visiting her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Mortimer Lane. Dr. Lane is a former member of the Wheaton College faculty. Besides his wife, Howard leaves six children, Ann, Jimmy, Nancy, Barbara, Jeff and George. They continued to live in Wheaton. Howard was a highly skilled physician, one of Wheaton's best citizens, a graduate beloved by Wheaton and a devoted husband and father. Memory of a life like this is both a blessing and a challenge.
