Everett C. Russell

Everett C. Russell, '29, died on December 26, 1958, at the age of 69 in Pontiac, MI, where he had made his home for several years, having been Director of Vocational Education for the Pontiac Public School system for 25 years, and since his retirement in '55 consultant for the Royal Oak schools. He was survived by his wife, son and daughter and two grandchildren. He also held a degree from Western Michigan University. He was active in church and civic affairs, and for many years was president of Pontiac YMCA. Last spring he gave to Wheaton College "Russell House" located at the corner of Washington and Lincoln, which had been the family homestead, and the place where he had been raised in the family of Wheaton's Professor Russell.
