Jasper R. Turnbull

Jasper R. Turnbull died October 3, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He organized Wheaton's first football team in 1914, and during '14 and '15 taught chemistry and coached football. Born in Nebraska, he went as a boy with his family in a covered wagon to Oklahoma, settling near Enid. During college days in the East he was chosen all-Pennsylvania end, and after graduation came to Wheaton to teach and coach.
