Lucinda Muirhead Corron

Lucinda Muirhead Corron was born June 4, 1909 in Plato Township, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Beith Muirhead. She had four siblings, Elizabeth, Lillian, Donald and John. She graduated from Plato Township High School in1927 and also was a graduate of Wheaton College in 1931 and Northwestern University M.A. in 1938. After graduate school she taught English at Plato High School until her marriage to Robert Corron on June 14, 1946. Together they had two sons, Robert and David.  She was active in the Wasco Ladies Aid, St. Charles Women's Club, Plato Methodist Church. She was also a volunteer at the Elgin Mental Health Center. She died June 12, 2010 at her home.
