Marjorie Clark Walls

Marjorie Clark was born 1934 Fort Wayne, Indiana to R. Clifford and Laura Clark. After the family moved to Wheaton, Illinois, she graduated from Wheaton Community High School in 1952 and went on to major in Physical Education at Wheaton College, where she graduated in 1956. After volunteering with Richard (Dick) Walls on the Campus World Relief Committee, Marjorie married Richard in August 1954. They spent their first year or marriage in Wheaton and then moved to Geneva and became actively involved with First Baptist Church. Marjorie and Richard had two sons, David and Timothy, and one daughter, Julie. Marjorie not only worked as a longtime staff member for the Children's Residence Program at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL but also devoted many years to directing the AWANA Club at her church. Marjorie loved nature and bird-watching and established a nature trail at the family cottage in Bethany Beach, Michigan, where she spent many of her summers. She battled cancer for five years and passed away in 2010 at age 76.
