Dr. William E. Evans, who received his honorary degree from Wheaton College in 1907, died at his home in Los Angeles, California, May 21, 1949. He was the first graduate of Moody Bible Institute and for many years was a widely heard Bible teacher and pulpit orator. He also authored 40 books on theology and Christian living.
