Virginia Stough Busch
Virginia Stough Busch, '35, died on February 24, 1956, while in Boston, MA, for medical care. She was the wife of Calvin Busch, '35, pastor of the Second Parish Presbyterian Church of Portland, Maine, to whom she was married March 11, 1945. Virginia was the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Henry Stough, who lived in Wheaton for many years. Besides her husband, she was survived by two daughters, Kirstin Eloise and Rebecca Jane, her mother, who also lived in Portland, her sister, Rachel Stough Keefer, '45, of Denver, CO, and brothers Paul, '23, in the Belgian Congo, Henry W. '27, Wadesboro, NC, Philip '32, of Gainseville, FL, and Harold of London, England. The funeral was held in Wheaton, conducted by Robert Lazear '37, pastor of College Church of Christ, assisted by Lawrence Manross of the College Church faculty. Virginia was a radiant Christian and a happy, helpful pastor's wife and mother. She was a trained nurse before her marriage and also served on the Wheaton College staff in Dr. Dyrness's office. |
