Robert J. Nelson

Rev. Robert J. Nelson ('41) of Fairview Village, PA, died March 25, 1969, following a short illness at Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. Robert was the pastor of the Norriton Presbyterian Church in Fairview, which he established in 1961 at the site of Old Norriton, the oldest standing Presbyterian church in the USA, built in 1698. During his ministry the church built a youth center followed by the erection of a chapel and Christian education building, dedicated December 10, 1967. His wife, Helen Scheel Nelson '47, was employed by the Schwenksville Union School District and the Perkiomen Point School District.

In addition to his wife, Nelson was survived by three children.
