Billy Graham Center

Original plans for a center housing the records of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association called for it to be located behind Edman Chapel.  As the concept grew it became apparent that another location would have to be found to house what would become the largest building on Wheaton's campus.  The Graham Center, opened in 1980, houses resources supporting the research of North American non-denominational missions and evangelism, including a museum and archives, academic departments, including the Graduate School, and Wheaton's Advancement division. The Billy Graham Center Museum attracts over 35,000 visitors each year and hosts several temporary exhibits alongside their permanent exhibits on the history of North American Protestant evangelism. Dr. Graham said of the Center, "Our desire is not to build anything which could be interpreted as a monument; our desire is solely to glorify God."
