Acquired in 1984, the estate of the insurance executive, James L. Jenks, Jr, provided a major portion of the funds for the purchase of the Clifford Elementary School building. The structure, built in 1894, now maintains the theater program of the Communication Department and through an addition houses the Arena Theater.
