Echoes
The Wheaton College Echoes was the first annual produced at Wheaton College, running from 1893 until 1900. Presented to offer a review of as well as commemorate the school year, the first issues offered full page photographs, lists of professors as well as detailed descriptions of enrolled students, alumni, and the years graduates. The name was shorted in 1896 to simply the Echo. Despite the fact that the Echo was well made, it seems that demand was waning by the end of the century and that fact coupled with mismanagement left the yearbook effort without money and Wheaton College decided to suspend the publication after the 1900 edition. |
