David Lynn Larson was born on June 27, 1941, and grew up in Buffalo, N.Y., with his parents, Harold and Edna Larson, and his brother, Elliott. David graduated with a B.S. from Wheaton College and earned an M.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in psychiatry. He completed his medical internship at the University of North Carolina's Memorial Hospital and his residency at Yale University Hospital. His career took him to Oklahoma, Vermont, Texas, and finally Wisconsin. For many years, he served as the clinical director at the Marathon County Healthcare Center in Wausau, Wisconsin. He and his wife, Karen, had six children. Dr. David Larson of Lake Tomahawk, WI, died on June 14, 2012, at age 70. from spinal cord injuries caused by a tragic fall.
