 Elizabeth O'Hair was born September 13,1911 in San Antonio, Texas to J.C. and Ethel Anderson O'Hair, the fifth of six children. In 1934 Betty graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in English. During her time she met upper classman Clarence B. Wyngarden whom she married on March 21,1936. After college graduation she worked at the Furniture Mart in downtown Chicago. After raising their three children (Judith, Elizabeth, and John), she helped in Clarence's medical practice until he retired. She and Clarence were lifelong members of College Church. Clarence died on November 18,1999. Elizabeth Wyngarden died Saturday, August 2, 2008.
