Edwin F. Deicke was born in 1896. Mr. Deicke along with his wife, Lois, weregenerous benefactors to several community organizations in Florida andIllinois. They provided the major underwriting for the display of the Perry Mastodon. Mr. Deicke was involved in animal husbandry and agriculture and anauthor of several books on raising animals and growing fruits. He died in 1984.
