Wayne Bragg was born January 17, 1931 in Madison County, Georgia and raised in Kannapolis, North Carolina. He transferred to Wheaton College after a freshman year at Wingate College (NC) and proceeded to serve on numerous ministry teams while a history major (class of 1953). He married Ann Kay '54 in August 1953 prior to beginning graduate studies at Fuller Seminary. In 1956 the Braggs served with International Fellowship Evangelical Students (IFES) in Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Latin America. After returning to the U.S., Wayne served under Enable International in conducting international research in alternative fuel solutions and women's health concerns at Washington University, St. Louis.  Bragg earned two Master's degrees, the first from Wheaton in 1956 and later at Appalachian State ('71), and his PhD at University of Texas/Austin ('73). He was the first director of the new HNGR (Human Needs and Global Resources) program at Wheaton between 1976-86 when he served on the Social Science faculty.  Wayne Bragg died on September 30, 2009.
